Chordeograph Augmented Analysis

The objective of this sound research is to gain a deeper analytical insight into the conditions of chordeograph-based sound generation. Laser-based position tracking is used to determine the position of various string shortening and excitation tools on the strings of the instrument. How this information can be used for an extended realtime analysis and modulation of the instrument's sound will be explored. The project is funded by Musikfonds e.V.
